From October 28 to 30, 2025, a delegation from Guilin University, consisting of staff from the Office of International Affairs and the School of Foreign Languages, paid an official visit to the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) and the Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS). The visit aimed to expand academic collaboration with Singaporean universities, enhance faculty and student exchanges, and further promote the university’s internationalization.

During the visit to SUTD, the delegation gained insights into the university’s distinctive educational approach that integrates technology, innovation, and design. Both sides held in-depth discussions on the feasibility of a joint Master of Science in Technology and Design program, as well as on potential cooperation in postgraduate training, curriculum innovation, and academic exchange. The meeting laid a solid foundation for signing a memorandum of understanding in the near future.

At MDIS, the delegation was introduced to the institute’s postgraduate programs, curriculum structure, and international cooperation initiatives. Both parties expressed a shared commitment to leveraging their respective strengths to promote joint master’s and doctoral programs and student exchange projects. The delegation also visited Guilin University students currently undertaking internships in Singapore, encouraging them to make full use of this valuable overseas experience to enhance their professional competence and broaden their global perspectives.
