From October 27 to 31, 2025, a delegation from Guilin University (comprising Chen Junjie, Vice Dean of the School of Finance and Law, and teachers from the School of Foreign Languages) conducted a 5-day visit to three Malaysian universities: Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), and Lincoln University College (LUC) Malaysia. The visit aimed to strengthen inter-university cooperation and build platforms for teachers and students' further study and development.

At TAR UMT, the two sides discussed discipline resource sharing and research cooperation. Vice Dean Chen introduced the academic achievements of finance, law and other disciplines of the School of Finance and Law, while gaining in-depth insights into TAR UMT's practice-oriented discipline curriculum design and practical teaching models. They jointly explored the feasibility of research cooperation between the two universities, laying a foundation for future collaboration; the meeting also clarified TAR UMT's postgraduate/PhD application requirements and curriculum systems. At UPM, a preliminary consensus was reached on teacher further study and a direct "undergraduate-master’s" pathway for students. During the visit to LUC Malaysia, focus was placed on twinning degree programs (education, business) and credit recognition, providing references for optimizing teaching arrangements.

This visit clarified the three universities’ credit/graduation requirements, paved the way for teachers and students’ overseas study, and consolidated cooperation foundations. Follow-up efforts will advance implementation to enhance educational internationalization.
